Ocean jasper is an orbicularis jasper that is found exclusively in Madagascar.
The stone is characterized by its many different colors and spherical patterns. Research has shown that there is probably not much jasper in these stones, but that it is a chalcedony variant. Ocean jasper is a porous stone that can contain imperfections, cracks and cavities.

This sphere is characterized by an “ice cap at the poles” that is reminiscent of the Antarctic or Arctic.
Although orbicularis jasper occurs in several places around the world, ocean jasper is only found in the northwest of Madagascar. And even here only in 2 places: near the village of Marovato, directly on the coast and near the village of Kabamby, which is about 1.5 kilometers inland.

Ocean jasper is a healing stone that helps to release negative feelings. It promotes joie de vivre and enables more loving communication. Ocean Jasper helps to get to know oneself and to increase self-confidence and self-esteem.
